Cin cin (Cheers) è una sit-com statunitense andata in onda dal 30 settembre 1982 al 20 maggio 1993 per un totale di 11 stagioni televisive e 270 episodi. Candidata 117 volte all’Emmy Awards (fu un record, superato solo dalle 124 nomination di ER), vinse 28 volte (tra cui 4 nella categoria Miglior serie tv commedia). Nel 2002, la rivista TV Guide ha classificato Cheers al 18º posto tra I migliori 50 spettacoli televisivi di tutti i tempi.

La serie ha dato vita a 2 spin-off: Frasier, grande successo di critica e pubblico, che detiene il record di Emmy Awards vinti (37); The Tortellis, sospeso dopo soli 13 episodi per la scarsa audience e per le polemiche sul carattere razzista della sitcom.

In Italia è stata trasmessa già nel 1985 su Italia 1 e poi nel biennio 1986-1988 su Canale 5 e dal 2002 da La7, con il titolo originale Cheers. Dal 2003 è stata replicata sul canale pay Fox e in seguito su Paramount Comedy, dal marzo 2005.
 
La sit-com è ambientata nell’omonimo bar di Boston e parla dei suoi abituali frequentatori e della vita dei suoi inservienti.
